370-Hour Extended Program
This course teaches what user interface, user experience design, and virtual design are and what type of responsibilities you can expect in a position with UI/UX responsibilities. You’ll be tested on your comprehension of the 30-hour course before moving on to the extended program.
How to Think Like a Designer
Before learning any fundamentals, you’ll be taught to think from the perspective of a design professional. Learners will explore in-demand tools designers use, such as how to implement digital design in physical spaces. Other topics like virtual and augmented reality (VR/AR) and the Internet of Things (IoT) are also explored.
Visual Design Essentials
This course teaches you design fundamentals, such as history and theory of design, to better understand graphic and visual design essentials. This course teaches Adobe Illustrator and InDesign.
UX Design Essentials
Like the previous section, this course focuses on UX assets to teach you how to develop and create functional digital assets. You will learn what the information architecture structure is and how to utilize it and organize your data when developing a design.
Learn how to successfully conduct market research and design methods to develop products that meet user, market, and business needs. You will explore remote tools such as Miro, Otter.ai, and Zoom.
Ideating & Prototyping
In this course, you’ll learn how to design sketches and create paper prototypes you will later convert into low- and mid-fidelity wireframes. This is to help you learn how to layout and identify various design solutions.
This course teaches what usability tests are, including their role in building web designs and programmings and how to set up and interpret these tests successfully.
With this section, you’ll use what you learned in the previous courses to develop a high-fidelity design. You’ll understand the importance of utilizing visual elements appropriately, including iconography, font, color, and graphics, to ensure a visually appealing and engaging product.
This course teaches the function and principles of animation in design and how to craft virtual interactions that are enjoyable and useful.
During this portion of the bootcamp, you will work with your classmates to produce a group project that allows you to practice working on a team. You’ll be able to showcase the project in your portfolio and demonstrate to potential employers that you are an invaluable member of a design team.
Introduction to Front-End Development
In this course, you’ll gain a comprehensive overview of web development and how to edit a website and prototype digital designs. Learners will explore the basics of HTML and CSS in this section.
Introduction to Digital Marketing
This portion focuses on the principles of digital marketing and the connection to UI/UX. You’ll learn essential concepts such as SEO, copywriting, and designing for social media.
You’ll be able to dedicate careful time and dedicate to developing a professional design portfolio that will showcase your hands-on UI/UX skills to potential employers or clients.
Preparing for a Design Career
Throughout the bootcamp, you’ll have access to career-prep resources, but this course will help you buckle down, develop a career path, and plan for your future as a UI/UX design professional.
